Undergraduate Program in Chinese Language and Literature:
To cultivate internationally-oriented talents proficient in Chinese language and culture with cross-cultural communication abilities, the International Institute of Education and Culture at Heilongjiang University offers a bachelor's degree program in Chinese Language and Literature for international students.
1. Curriculum:
Language Courses: Elementary Comprehensive Chinese, Intermediate Comprehensive Chinese, Advanced Comprehensive Chinese, Skills Training in Chinese Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing, Chinese Pronunciation, Chinese Phonetics and Vocabulary, Modern Chinese Grammar, Classical Chinese, Chinese-foreign Translation, New Chinese Words, and more.
Culture Courses: Overview of China, Chinese History, Chinese Tourism Geography, Ancient Chinese Literature, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Chinese Philosophical Thoughts, Chinese Folk Customs, Economics, Law, and other related courses.

3. Education Model:
This is a four-year undergraduate program. Students can start learning Chinese from scratch without any prior language foundation. The program adopts a two-year training model that emphasizes intensive training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, followed by two years of integrating Chinese language and cultural knowledge.
4. Admission Requirements:
(1) High school graduation certificate.
(2) Foreign citizens in good physical and mental health.

Applicants should complete the online application by June 10th. Heilongjiang University will E-mail the "Admission Notice" and the "Visa Application Form for Study in China" (JW202 form) to admitted students in early July each year. Admitted students should arrive at the university according to the specified registration schedule.
