To meet the growing international demand for Chinese language education talents, promote the development of Chinese language education in countries around the world, and support the growth of international Chinese language education talents, the Center for Language Education and Research of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Center) has established the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Scholarship), focusing on cultivating qualified overseas Chinese language teachers. Confucius Institutes, independently established Confucius Classrooms, and some test centers for Chinese language examinations Foreign relevant educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese language departments of universities, foreign organizations related to Chinese language teaching, Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "recommending institutions") may recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese language teachers to study and further their education in international Chinese language education and related fields at Chinese universities (hereinafter referred to as "receiving institutions"). Heilongjiang University, as one of the recipient institutions of the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship, welcomes Chinese language enthusiasts from all over the world to study at our university.

       IRecipients of funding

1. Non-chinese nationals

2.Friendly to China, with no criminal record, and abiding by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government as well as the rules and regulations of the school

3.In good physical and mental health, with excellent character and academic performance

4.Be committed to engaging in Chinese language education, teaching and related work

5. The age range is 16 to 35 years old (uniformly calculated as of September 1 of the application year). The age limit for in-service Chinese language teachers is relaxed to 45 years old, and applicants for undergraduate scholarships generally should not exceed 25 years old.

IIScholarship categories and application requirements

 

 

One-year trainee

 

Enrollment in September, with a funding period of 11 months.

 

For the International Chinese language education direction, the score of the Chinese Proficiency Test reaches 270 points in HSK (Level 3), and the HSKK score is available. For directions such as Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, and Chinese Philosophy, the score of the Chinese Proficiency Test should reach 180 points in HSK (Level 4) and 60 points in HSKK (Intermediate). For the Chinese language study direction, a score of 210 in the HSK (Level 3) of the Chinese Proficiency Test is required. Those who provide HSKK scores will be given priority.

 

One-semester trainee

Enrollment in September and March, with a funding period of five months..

For directions such as International Chinese Language Education, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, and Chinese Philosophy, the score of the Chinese Proficiency Test should reach 180 points in HSK (Level 3), and the HSKK score should be obtained.

 

Four-week trainee

Enrollment in July or December, with a funding period of 4 weeks.

For directions such as Chinese language study and Chinese language + Chinese Family experience, HSK scores are required. The recommending institutions can form groups to sign up and contact the receiving institutions in advance to determine the study plan in China, and report it to the center for approval in advance. Each group should consist of 10 to 15 people.

 

IIIApplication process

1.Applicants can log in to the website of the Center for Language Education and Research (http://www.chinese.cn) to find out the receiving institutions: Heilongjiang university (institution code 10212).

2. Submit your application materials online and keep an eye on the application process, review opinions and scholarship evaluation results

3. Scholarship recipients confirm with their receiving institutions the procedures for studying in China and print the award certificates online

4. Register for school at the time specified in the admission notice of our school.

IVApplication deadline (based on Beijing time)

3. December enrollmentThe deadline for student applications is September 15th. The deadline for review by the recommending institutions and the receiving universities is September 25th

4. March enrollmentThe deadline for student applications is October 31st. The deadline for review by the recommending institutions and the receiving universities is November 10th.

The center entrusts an expert group to conduct a centralized review: Based on the HSK and HSKK test scores and levels, taking into account factors such as country of nationality, the best candidates will be selected for funding. The scholarship review work will be completed approximately three months before enrollment, and the review results will be released.

VRegarding in-service Chinese language teachers and winners of the Chinese Bridge Award
1. In-service Chinese teacher
In-service Chinese language teachers applying for various scholarships can provide a certificate of employment and a recommendation letter issued by their current institution. Under the same conditions, they will be given priority for admission.
2.Winner of the Chinese Bridge Award

Those who have won the "International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship Certificate" in various Chinese Bridge competitions should log in to the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship website and submit their application materials to the target receiving institutions with the scholarship certificate. VIFunding content and standards

This project is fully funded by a scholarship, covering tuition fees, accommodation fees, living expenses (except for four-week trainees), and comprehensive medical insurance.
 1.The living expense subsidy standard for the scholarship is 2,500 RMB per month

The living expenses are distributed monthly by the school to the scholarship students.
2.The comprehensive medical insurance premium shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education of China on international students coming to study in China and shall be purchased uniformly by the receiving institution. The standard for four-week trainees is 100 RMB per person, 400 RMB per person for one-semester trainees, and 800 RMB per person per year for those with more than one academic year.

VIIList of Application materials

1. Supporting documents related to all applicants

·Scanned copy of the passport photo page;

·Scanned copies of HSK and HSKK score reports (valid for two years);

·A recommendation letter from the person in charge of the recommending institution.

2.In-service Chinese language teachers must attach a certificate of employment and a recommendation letter issued by their current institution.

3.Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a power of attorney signed by their guardian in China.

4.Applicants must also provide other supporting documents as required by the receiving institution.
