Scholarship Guide of Institute of International Culture and Education of Heilongjiang University

In order to build the brand of “Study in Heilongjiang University”, promote the high-quality development of international students education in Heilongjiang University, expand the scale of international students, optimize the structure of international students, and attract outstanding international students, the Institute of International Culture and Education Scholarship of Heilongjiang University is hereby established.

I. Applicants

Outstanding international students applying for the undergraduate programs of the Institute of International Cultural Education of Heilongjiang University.

II. Contents of Scholarship

1.First Class Scholarship

Contents: Application fee, tuition fee and accommodation fee.

2.Second Class Scholarship

Contents: Application fee, tuition fee

3. Third Class Scholarship

Contents: Application fee, 50% reduction of tuition fee

4. Fourth Class Scholarship

Contents: Application fee, 10% tuition fee remission

III. Majors and years of study

Chinese Language and Literature 4 years

International Economics and Trade 5 years

Students are required to participate in the evaluation of the scholarship every academic year within the academic year of their studies, and they will be awarded the scholarship for the next year only after passing the evaluation.

IV. Selection

Scholarship selection is based on students' application materials and interview assessment scores.

V. Application Requirements

1. Be friendly to China and respect Chinese social morals and customs;

2. The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen, physically and mentally healthy, with no criminal record, and not receiving any other scholarships at the same time;

3. The applicant must have a high school diploma and be no older than 25 years old;

4. The applicant must meet the requirements of the national unified entrance standard;

5. Have a positive attitude to study and good grades;

6. If there is a cooperation agreement with the school to apply for this program, the applicant's qualifications will be in accordance with the content of the agreement.

VI. Application Materials

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials to studyathlju@hotmail.com before June 5th:

1. Application Form for Scholarship of Institute of International Culture and Education of Heilongjiang University, please fill in Chinese or English;

2. Notarized certificate of highest academic qualification. If the applicant is a current student or is already employed, he/she is required to submit an additional certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is attending or a certificate of employment issued by the employer. The documents in languages other than Chinese, English and Russian must be accompanied by notarized translations into Chinese or English;

3. Academic transcripts and HSK certificate( If have);

4. Study and research plan for coming to China (not less than 500 words), written in Chinese, English or Russian and signed by the applicant;

5. Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners (copy, keep the original on your own): this form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health quarantine department and must be filled in English. The applicant shall strictly follow the items required in the Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners. The Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners with missing items, without a photo of the applicant affixed to it or without a riding seal on the photo, and without the signature and seal of the physician and the hospital is invalid. Given that the examination results are valid for 6 months, applicants are requested to determine the time for their own medical examination accordingly (see Annex I for the style of the medical examination form);

6. A copy of passport;

7. Certificate of no criminal record;

8. Other materials that will help the scholarship application.

VII. Admission and Notification

1. Applicants may inquire about the application process and result by e-mail. The mail address of International Student Admission Office of Heilongjiang University is studyathlju@hotmail.com;

2. Heilongjiang University sends the “Notice of Admission to Heilongjiang University”, “Notice of Arrival” and “Application for Visa for Foreign Students Coming to China” (Form JW202) to the applicants who are awarded the scholarships at the beginning of July every year, and the admitted students are required to report and register at the university according to the reporting time stated in the “Notice of Admission”.

VIII. Others

1. Students who have been awarded scholarships must return the scholarships to the school before they can transfer to another school;

2. The School of International Cultural Education reserves the right to interpret and change the scholarship policy.
